Begrip Miner uses the original open source project ccminer and comes prepackaged with its executable located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Begrip Miner\CCMiner\ccminer-x64.exe. In order to avoid the false positive, please add this file to your antivirus exclusion list. Make sure you restore the file if it got deleted or put into vault/sandbox by your antivirus.
There are several ways for creating cryptocurrency wallets:
- mobile
- desktop
- web
- physical hardware
- paper (generated)
For the sake of convenience we recommend the following:
- Coinomi for IOS/Android (Verge, FeatherCoin, GoByte, ZCoin, Zclassic, Zencash, Komodo, Dash, Vivo, BitcoinGold, Monacoin, Groestlcoin)
- Electroneum for Android
For other cryptocurrency wallets, please visit official web sites that can be found by clicking on the corresponding link:
Currently, Begrip Miner only supports NVidia based video cards with CUDA 9.x support. If you have an AMD based video card, stay tuned for an update soon.
Other things to watch for:
- Keep your video drivers up to date
- Make sure antivirus is not blocking the miner (see My antivirus considers Begrip Miner malicious, what should I do?)
- Check your miner configuration settings or try a different pool
Assuming the default mining pools are alive, for non-worker based configurations like zpool.ca or unimining.net, you only need to change the wallet address to your own. For worker based pools like suprnova.cc, you will first need to register an account and then configure your wallet as well as workers within the account. Please refer to the documentation provided by the pool administrators as well as the default settings within the Begrip Miner.
If you enjoy using our free Begrip Miner and wish to be donating a small share of hashes to support the project developers, you can set a non-zero value for the Sharing Time. The number indicates how long should the donation miner run for per mining hour. Otherwise, set it to 0 to turn off donating.
The mining speed depends on a number of factors, including your computer speed (video card or CPU), mining algorithm and mining complexity. You will notice that the more expensive cryptocurrencies are harder to mine. For beginners, we recommend starting with the less complex cryptocurrencies like Verge, FeatherCoin, Vivo, GroestlCoin etc.
We are constantly working on adding more cryptocurrency configurations into our Begrip Miner. To potentially speed up the process, please use our contact form to request addition of the proposed cryptocurrency to the default list.
We currently allow a maximum of three (3) parallel miner jobs running. Although computer performance does make a difference, we recommend running one mining job at a time. You will notice significantly lower hashrates when running simultaneous jobs due to sharing of your computer’s computational power among the multiple miners.
